WHAT IS SOCIAL SERVICE?
Social service is understood as the practice with the community that students of Basic Secondary Education and Vocational Middle Education must carry out; as an application of the knowledge acquired throughout the educational process and in pursuit of personal and community development.
Student social service is a temporary activity that students must carry out for a period of time established by law, fulfilling ninety hours as an essential requirement to obtain the Bachelor's degree; it is an opportunity to identify with society through the benefits, skills and abilities obtained through their training and education.
It establishes a link between educational institutions and the public and social sector, and also allows for the effective integration of study plans and programs with the development needs and priorities of communities and the country.
